Cupcake Controversy
Yesterday, Cheat Day Cafe was featured on the very popular blog called Cupcakes Take The Cake. Pretty cool, huh? They ask the question if "diet" cupcakes are worth trying. Well, here's my opinion.
You better believe that I am going full fat when it comes to birthdays, holidays, company or bake sales. But when a hopeless sweet tooth, who is fighting the good fight, needs an occasional fix....the diet cupcake always does the trick.
The bottom line is: Just try it for yourself! If they don't meet up to your standards, you're only out a box mix, some jell-o and a couple dirty dishes. Give the cupcakes to a friend that's on a diet. I hear they'll eat just about anything!
AMEN! I would eat cake every single day if I could. Not wanting to run 10 miles after each feeding - i would vote for the "diet cupcakes" to help save myself some time and pounds. Congrats on living a healthy lifestyle and maintaining homemade food options.
ReplyDeleteI like this idea a lot!!! So does it need to be already prepared jello? Or can I just throw in the powder?
ReplyDeleteFor the cake you need to prepare the jell-o with 1 cup of boiling water to dissolve the powder and then add 1 cup of cold water. This makes about 14 oz. so you need to make sure that you only pour 10 oz. into the cake mix and use the rest to make a yummy jell-o treat for later! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI know I already commented on Cupcakes Take the Cake, but I didn't know the story behind those cupcakes. The cheat day idea is a good one. :)
