Kid's Corner: Pizza Sandwiches
Kenna has been so excited about cooking since we started Kid's Corner last week. I think I have created a mini foodie! For example:
On Saturday, Kenna was playing in the backyard in her little brother's baby pool. She came inside for some bowls and spoons. I didn't think anything of it.
She came inside about 30 minutes later and asked me to come out and see her "cooking show". Here, she was pretending to be a chef and was making a "candy soup" for her cooking show. She even showed me the wood post that was the t.v. camera. I loved seeing her exercise her imagination. :)
On with the recipe:
What you need:
4 slices of bread
butter
cheese
spaghetti or pizza sauce
basil and garlic powder
Step 1: Butter each slice of bread.
Step 2: Place 2 pieces of bread, butter side down, in sandwich maker or frying pan.
Step 3: Spread pizza or spaghetti sauce on bread.
Step 4: Add cheese.
Step 5: Add sprinkle of basil and garlic powder.
Step 6: Put other piece of bread on top with butter side up.
Step 7: Close sandwich maker or have parent turn on burner.
Step 8: Cook until golden brown on both sides.
Step 9: Eat!
I am so excited to try your chicken on a stick recipe. That is just what I need to do with my chicken in the freezer. Thank you so much!
