I love Christmas in July parties. You know why? Because my local grocery store stocks my favorite seasonal ice cream: Peppermint Stick. They usually only have it near Christmas. So of course I had to buy some!
I made this milkshake because it reminds me of my dad. He used to take us to an ice cream shop in Salt Lake City called Snelgrove's when we were on vacation visiting my grandparents. My dad grew up in Salt Lake and knew Snelgrove's well.
He always got the same thing and it wasn't even on the menu. He just explained to the server what we wanted: Peppermint ice cream, bananas and chocolate fudge sauce made into a shake. He is a genius!
Chocolate Peppermint Stick Banana Milkshake

about half of a 1.75 quart container of Peppermint Stick ice cream
1 firm banana sliced
2 heaping spoonfuls of hot fudge sauce
1 cup of milk
Blend in a blender until smooth. Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermints if desired. Enjoy!Read my post about a funny gym incident sponsored by Laughing Cow Cheese. Here's the best part. Share a funny fitness story in the comment section and you will be entered to win $150!
